Everyone has a humble, happy home - including the Gilmores. Lorelai and Rory inhabit the town of Stars Hollow, Connecticut. Their neighbors are Babette and Morey Dell.
They have a two-story house. As far as I can figure out, Lorelai's room is on the second floor and Rory's room is on the first floor, along with the kitchen and the living room.
There is a big wraparound porch on the Gilmore home. Max stands on the front porch, as do Jackson and his cousin Rune. Also, Rory and Lorelai talk on the back porch in the episode "Kill Me Now."
